Most leaders think their teams are engaged. The truth? They're not. 

Right Management’s report, The Engagement Illusion: Why Leaders Overestimate Employee Engagement, shows that 83% of leaders think their workforce is engaged, yet only 48% of employees agree. This disconnect has major consequences for retention, productivity, and workplace morale. 

Mid-career employees, particularly those with three-to-five years of tenure, are the least engaged and the most likely to leave. If businesses want to keep their best people, they need to focus on more than just surface-level engagement strategies.
